5 Common Air Conditioner Questions

We understand that clients have many questions when deciding to install an air conditioner. We have answered 5 of the top questions that we get below.

Must I run my air conditioner at the lowest temperature to keep the room cold?

No… New inverter air conditioner technology allows rooms to be cooled down faster and your desired temperature is maintained without your unit having to be on the coldest setting. Inverter air conditioner technology is also an energy saver, as they do not have to work as hard to maintain the room temperature.

Is it cheaper and better to run a fan over an air conditioner?

Let’s first remember that a fan does not cool down a room, it merely circulates air. The cheapest way to keep a room cooled down is through an inverter aircon unit. It is best to run the unit only when the room is being used. These units cool down a room quickly and maintain your desired temperature.

Can I sleep with an air conditioner on?

This is a good point to argue but, we will say yes! Air conditioners can cause dry throats but with windless air conditioner technology, this can be avoided.

In addition, clean healthy air while sleeping is also an advantage.

Can an air conditioner make me sick?

Having a cold is caused by bacteria and not by being in an air-conditioned room. A well-maintained air conditioner filters out dust and other pollutants that can make you sick. In-fact, an air conditioner is good for people who suffer from allergies.

Can I exercise with an aircon on?

A well-maintained air conditioner unit that runs at a temperature of between 19°C and 24°C is not going to cause any harm. The clean air in an air-conditioned room has more positive benefits than training in a room with no air conditioner unit.
